Frequently Asked Questions About Cold Shipping
Where do you deliver?

We ship across the entire state of Pennsylvania. That includes Pittsburgh to Philly, Erie to Scranton — and everywhere in between.

All orders are shipped from our headquarters in Wyomissing, PA using UPS Ground, which typically delivers within 1–2 business days in-state. We also utilize USPS for dry good only orders.

Only shelf safe products can be shipped out of state at this time, but we’re working on expanding and growing our product offerings and locations we can ship.

When will I receive my order?

We ship Monday through Tuesday to avoid weekend delays.

• Orders placed Monday–Tuesday before 11 AM ship the same day.
• Orders placed after Tuesday at 11 AM ship the following Monday.

Once shipped, UPS Ground delivers within 1–2 business days depending on your location in PA. You’ll receive a tracking number as soon as your order ships.

How is my order packaged for shipping? Can I recycle the materials?

Every order is packed to stay cold and arrive safe:

Eco-friendly insulated liners made from recycled materials
Non-toxic drain safe gel packs to keep temperatures cold
Durable kraft shipping box, which is recyclable

Yes, everything is recyclable:

• The box and liners are curbside recyclable
• Gel packs can be reused or emptied and the plastic can be recycled

We’re committed to sustainable, responsible packaging wherever possible.

What happens if I’m not home at the time of delivery?

Not a problem. Your box is designed to survive on your doorstep.

Our cold shipping method keeps items safe for up to 48 hours in transit. But for best results, retrieve your box as soon as possible, especially during hot weather.

How can I tell if my order is safe to consume?

Your meat should be cold to the touch (refrigerator-cold or colder). That’s the most important sign of safety.

If you have a food thermometer, make sure it reads under 40°F.If your package arrives damaged, late, or warm, contact us right away so we can fix it.

Can I refreeze products if they have partially thawed?

Yes. If your product arrives partially thawed but still cold to the touch, it is safe to refreeze.

The texture may change slightly, but the food remains safe according to USDA guidelines.

How long can I store my products in the freezer?

Whole cuts (steaks, chops, roasts): Best within 6 months
Ground meats & sausages: Best within 3 months

Meat is safe indefinitely when frozen, but peak quality is time-sensitive.

Once I’ve thawed my meat, how long will it last in the refrigerator?

Once thawed:

• Whole cuts: 3–5 days
• Ground meats/sausages: 1–2 days
• Cooked items: Refer to best-by label

Always store at or below 40°F and keep sealed. When in doubt, use your senses — and your butcher.

My order thawed on my doorstep. What should I do?

• Check the product: is it still cold or partially frozen? If so, it’s safe.
• Use a food thermometer: under 40°F = good.

If it feels warm to the touch, take a photo of the box and contents and contact us immediately.

Do you offer refunds or replacements?

Absolutely. If your order arrives damaged, spoiled, or incorrect, we’ll offer a replacement or refund options.

Please contact us within 24 hours of delivery with a photo, and we’ll make it right.
